Over the last decade, I’ve been capturing moments and freezing feelings in time with nothing but my Nikon. It has been an immense privilege to document families, landscapes, weddings, and all the significant and beautiful life events. At Uncommon, we dive deep into the stories that make you who you are. Much more profound than I ever could capture in a 60-minute portrait session. I feel called to do this work, to help you honor where you’ve been and where you’re going. Thank you for being here and trusting me and the collective with your story.
Through my own experiences with grief and trauma and seeing the impacts on those around me, I know how pain shapes us. But, I still believe a beautiful life is possible. By allowing ourselves to get vulnerable and dig into our story’s joyful and painful parts, we can feel a shift, a weight lifting.

I’m Britt, a tattooed churchgoer, a tough single mama, a free spirit through and through, and the founder of The Uncommon Story. I started Uncommon with one goal in mind, to normalize vulnerability and connect through the hard, the messy, and the beautiful.
